Paraplanner Technical Assistant
- Region: North-West
- Type: Full Time
- Salary: £30,000 - £38,000
Our client is a firm of Chartered Financial Planners that practices from a small suite of modern offices in Cheshire. The practice is predominantly investment based with around 40 million of funds under advice spread across around four hundred households mainly in the North West of England. For a six months’ probationary period the successful candidate will prepare client files for review by the practice’s Managing Director to whom the probationer will report directly. The preparation of files will involve the probationer producing manual valuation statements in a standard format for which full training will be given. Many of these reviews are going to generate a variety of transactions:•The re-registration of presently “non-platform†investment portfolios.•The transfer of existing Stocks and Shares Individual Savings Accounts.•Switches of existing investment fund holdings.•Some new cash investment. The practice’s Managing Director will formulate and dispense the actual advice to clients but the probationer will produce all of the enabling paperwork. Full training will be given but previous experience of this type of work is essential. The aim is for the probationer to take over reviews at the end of the probationary period. This will be under the supervision of the Managing Director initially but eventually the intention is for the individual to operate unsupervised subject to the normal “compliance†constraints. The position will suit somebody with a Level 4 qualification who intends to progress to full Chartered status eventually. There is no “production target†no “sales target†and certainly no “cold canvassingâ€. All of the work described above will be conducted with established existing clients of the practice.Salary will be reviewed annually and in the longer term a fully qualified Chartered Financial Planner could hope for a senior position within the practice with commensurate earnings.Salary will be 30000 to 38000 depending on previous experience and qualifications. There will be financial support for future professional studies. If you believe that you are a suitable candidate for this role then please contact Shaun Brogan at shaun.brogan@amrgroup.co.uk
