An enormous jump in Winkworth’s share price on Friday sent it leaping 12.07% – an increase of 17.5p.

The shares finished the day at 162.5p, which is a significant pick-up from 72.5p hit in March last year – when the UK entered the first lockdown.

The reasons for Friday’s increase are not clear, but it is likely to lead to speculation, given that there is no clear reason for the surge in share price.

Other estate agency-related share prices showed little movement.

Winkworth expects to announce its final results for the year ended 31 December 2020 on or around 8 April 2021.
