You may have missed a repeat of Rip Off Britain on Friday morning of a programme first shown a year ago.
If nothing else, it shows what a lot has changed in that year. The agent mainly featured, Tepilo, is no more.
Others, Purplebricks and Yopa, are still very much around – but what a lot has happened with them since, in terms of departures of founders. In fact, it’s all been rather disruptive.
Take a look from about 29 minutes in.

“Expectations match the fee you sign-up to” or
with on-line agent one: with 6 months no contact and no viewings Complain and next 4 months no contact and no viewings but getting premium service at no extra charge
Switch to High Street agent: several viewing in 3 days and sold in 3 weeks!!
Re-enter on-line only agent one: with debt collector for fee you tried to pay, they ignored at time and for what service?
Enter on-line agent two: worst service experienced, no longer interested once they received their fixed fee.
Enter on-line agent three (Guess who!): Terrible sales performance (how come they get 4 and 5 star Trust Pilot reviews?)
Lesson learned; On-line is nothing more than advertising, which is why it is so cheap but not better than the High Street.
