Here is one for soap fans.
A rat and mouse – sorry, house – is up for sale in the east London location that inspired the Albert Square setting used by BBC soap EastEnders.
Purplebricks is listing a four-bedroom terrace home on Fassett Square in Hackney with a price tag – would you Adam and Eve it – of £1.1m.
That might make even Phil Mitchell uncomfortable.
The location was used as inspiration for the design of Albert Square in long-running soap EastEnders, which is actually based in Elstree, Hertfordshire.
The property is listed as being unmodernised and requiring refurbishment throughout. Even so, the price tag looks like the real deal. Properties rarely come on the market in Fassett Square, but Rightmove tells us a four-bedroom semi in the square sold last September for £1.5m, and three years ago a three-bedroom terrace went for £1.38m.
But it seems that much like some of the EastEnders storylines, this property hasn’t been going anywhere, having been listed on Rightmove since the end of July.

It sounds like the “agent” isn’t bothered whether it sells or not having already been paid?
