A property business inviting private sellers and landlords to upload their own property details for a fixed one-off fee has been told to remove claims that it listed on Zoopla and Globrix.

Zoopla acted after Eye drew its attention to Partners Sales & Letting Agents in Wolverhampton.

On the Partners website it said:  “You’ll find us on Zoopla [and] Globrix.”

The website, which displays no ombudsman logo, offers sellers deals from £99 and landlords from £59 for lettings. It is also currently offering  free For Sale and To Let boards to tempt sellers and landlords.

Under its FAQ section, Partners says: “Over 85% of potential buyers start looking for property via the internet. 90% of these potential buyers look at more than one property portal to find a home.

“That’s why we will advertise your property on all the major property portals including Zoopla, Propertyfinder, Google, Sky and many more. These websites generate around 80 million buyer searches per month.”

Partners was yesterday showing on its site three properties for sale and 26 for rent.

A spokesperson for Zoopla said: “This company does not list with Zoopla Property Group, but are clearly using our branding under false pretences.

“We have requested that they remove our branding from their site.”
