Former wildchild Dani Behr has become an estate agent in Los Angeles.
Dani, an early WAG who dated Ryan Giggs and Les Ferdinand, also presented hit TV shows The Word and Big Breakfast and was a regular on lads’ mags front covers.
She also appeared in a football chant which rhymed “here and there” with “Dani Behr”.
However, her new job – specialising in luxury real estate on the other side of the pond – is perhaps not too surprising. Indeed, it may be genetic.
Her father Michael is a well known estate agent in London, a partner of Behr & Butchoff.
And his reaction to his daughter’s new role? “He says he is so happy that finally I have got a proper job,” says Dani.
She has given up her media career to sell homes worth £7m upwards.
At 44, she says: “As you get older, it is harder to find a job in television – especially in the US. The work dries up, and very quickly.
“I’m a single mum now so I need regular money coming in, money I can rely on, just as any mother would need.
“I did a few TV jobs over here but I needed to have a career where I am in charge of my own destiny rather than a television executive.
“I also need a job I can do for the next 20 years or so. I’ve never been happier than I am right now. I was so young when I started work.”

The only way i ever see myself signing up to any industry body is if it is a legal requirement or massively change direction and what they offer to us as agents.

You are of course right PeeBee, in hindsight it was more of an attempt to remove the disturbing thought of Wilko getting excited in front of his keyboard! ….no offence W!
It was more the images of the Word and The Big Breakfast, Danhi Bear etc together that just made me think back to a previous lifestyle that was definitely less complicated than todays life…….It’s made me want to play the Smiths “meat is murder” in the car, on the way to my meeting later!
