A former international Premier League football star has injected a six-figure sum into a new online estate agency, Glow Move.
Brazilian-born Eduardo da Silva, who played for Arsenal between 2007 and 2010, is said to have pumped the cash into the new venture which has launched in Chatham, Kent.
To cement his commitment to the business, he has promised to play in a pre-season friendly for a non-league club that the firm has sponsored.
Glow Move aims to offer packages ranging from £99 to £299, allowing sellers to write their own property descriptions and take their own photos.
Initially operating in the local Medway market, the aim is to roll out the business across Kent.
Alex Bernardes, 30, is co-founder and CEO of the business, which he says he may expand into Brazil and Australia.
He has been friends with the former Gunners star since his time at the club and persuaded him to back the venture.
Bernardes said: “Our basic package would allow customer to do their own photos, write their own descriptions, and upload the property themselves to our platform.
“We want to ensure from start to finish it is an easier, less frustrating process than it is today.

I think it was George Best who once said, ‘I spent 90% of my money on wine and women, the rest I wasted’. If he’s following the same formula it must have been some party!
Don’t know anything about them but I can remember somebody mentioned Express Estate Agency were profit making and looking at their accounts to 30/6/18 they do have positive shareholder funds and have increased from last year by over £100K (which doesn’t mean they are profitable).
So perhaps if you don’t go hell for leather without corresponding growth in market share you can build a profitable online business at this time.
Just keep your ambitions modest and see how it goes.

What makes me think the only winner will be the CEO, before it goes turtle? Some friend and who clearly hasn’t a clue about legalities of misrepresentation of property etc, with his little venture.
I’m not a football fan…but what I do know (from various historic news reports) is that footballers will ‘inject’ anything into, well… anything.
Like so many before him, he’ll doubtless regret not having ‘pulled out’…?
He’s currently earning around £80,000 per week, i doubt he will regret anything if this goes pear shaped

Any sort of 6 figure some is no where near enough. Emoov/Tepilo, House Simple and all the others have not achieved any sort of market penetration as no one has heard of them and their offering is rubbish,
The only reason anyone has heard of PB is they spend £20million a year on advertising and are still losing money.
He would have been better investing in a proper estate agent, someone local who may actually give him a return on his investment.
Can only assume he is earning far too much from other ventures and using this as a tax write off. Either that or footballers are as stupid as the media portrays.
There’s more chance of Arsenal winning the League than Eduardo getting his money back on another pointless online scheme?
