EweMove is set to lock horns with Purplebricks, as it looks to recruit a whole new army of local property experts.

In EweMove’s case, they are to be called Local Property Partners. As with Purplebricks, they will be self-employed.

EweMove’s intention is to scale up its UK network rapidly, with a recruitment drive of local agents who will work for themselves rather than any of the existing franchisees.

EweMove is specifying that it wants agents who have a minimum of three years’ experience as a valuer to join the ‘flock’ as self-employed individuals.

There is no upfront cost to becoming an LPP, and their initial agreement with the company lasts for three years.

They will be paid £250 on listing plus 20% commission upon completion. Customers won’t be charged until their property has been sold.

EweMove say the advantage for an LPP is that they can build their own territories of approximately 20,000 households without the financial outlay of buying into the organisation’s franchise structure.

They will get access to the company’s full suite of marketing and administrative support including direct mail letters, templates, brochures, social media campaigns, pay-per-click marketing, branding and livery, and a personalised website.

Nick Neill, managing director and ‘head shepherd’ of EweMove, which is part of the Property Franchise Group, said: “The decision to launch EweMove’s Local Property Partners scheme was a direct result of recognising the exceptional talent out there, and we are delighted to be opening up a new way for experienced agents to join the ‘flock’ who otherwise wouldn’t be ready financially, or don’t want the commitment of running their own operation.”

He added that the firm is focused on recruiting traditional, experienced agents.

He said:“Our objective is to scale and grow EweMove across the length and breadth of the UK.

“While our LPPs won’t be franchisees, they will be based in brand new territories – opening up the offer of EweMove to even more potential customers, and providing them with a serious and reputable alternative to the traditional high street models.”
