Rummage4property has announced another senior appointment to the team in the build up to launch by the Robert May firm which aims to supply a lot more property information to consumers while offering agents a cheaper alternative to portals and again, so we understand, vastly more information.

We can now unmask PeeBee – well known for his ankle-biting activities in the EYE community – as estate agent Paul Barker.

In his new role, he will be managing major accounts and is moving from his current position at Rickard Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents to bring over four decades of property industry experience at director level to the start-up.

Barker’s experience includes the management and development of high street sales and lettings agencies and positions with independent and national corporate land and new-build property management companies.

May has not yet announced a date for the launch but says that rummage4property “will provide a low cost, industry owned digital service to professional estate agents and new homes developers, focusing on enhancing local brand presence and success”.

May has also registered a second rummage business, this time to do with utilities, at Companies House.

Rummage4property has made some high level recruits so far, including that of chairman Peter Andrew, who is also deputy chairman of developers’ trade body the Home Builders Federation.

The biggest appointment, set to run the company, is understood to be a very well known industry figure from the City.

May’s enterprise seems to have enthusiastic backing from agents.
