National estate agency Connells has donated over £2,000 to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
The money, which was raised at an annual event for senior staff, was presented to the NSPCC at the Connells head office in Bedfordshire.
Connells chief executive Stuart Flavell said: “I am delighted that we are yet again able to make a donation to the NSPCC and support such an important cause.
“We have made a number of donations to the NSPCC over recent years and it’s a pleasure to be able to continue this.”
Sally Phipps, community fundraising manager at the NSPCC, said: “A huge thank you to all staff from Connells estate agency for raising a fantastic amount for our charity.
“We rely heavily on the generous donations from members of the public and businesses.
“Without their support we couldn’t continue to run our vital services protecting children and young people who are victims of abuse.”

Well done for the fundraising however… must we always have the company plugging their charity efforts? Call me cynical however is there not a chance that an agent could pass on the do-gooder photo op? I have clients that leave thousands, tens of thousands and in some cases hundreds of thousands to charity however they don't seek a photo op or praise… they just do it. I think at your local branch level, fine, thank those that you raised money from, let them know what your fundraising event achieved, feel good factor fine…. however, wheel out the suit with the cheque and the photographer?…can we not just raise funds for charity for the charity, and forget the corporate photo op. …and yes, I can take the dislikes on here!
