Review of the Week: And here’s a customer with nothing but praise for Purplebricks.
It handled the sale of her property well, the representative was excellent, and “I would definitely use this company again in the future,” said the satisfied user in her five-star review this week. “A positive experience all round.”
So how surprising that the same reviewer – according to her history – posted a very different, one-star opinion three years ago, complaining about an inaccurate advert and offer of a refund which didn’t materialise for a month and ending in the advice “Don’t use this company … I would have given 0 stars if there were an option. I am appalled and mystified.”
This morning Purplebricks confirmed the authenticity of both reviews. A spokesperson said: “They were both genuine reviews and it really is what it seems – ie a turnaround story and the customer is now really happy.”

So no agent including PB can try and improve their short comings and pursuade a customer to give it another go to put things right?!
Amazes me still that everyone spends so much time trawling PB to try and ‘find something’ like this, which only means they are taking their efforts away from their own agency and clients when doing so!! I just don’t get it!!? They are here to stay, deal with it and concentrate more on what you can do for your clients today, provide the best service you can and in turn you and your business will benefit in the long term!!

Then it is a fairly safe assumption that you are not an Estate Agent. At least, not a ‘traditional’ Estate Agent – one that works on a no sale: no fee basis with an office and all the wonderful costs that go with it (but are worth every penny to be able to do what you do); and one who believes in offering a quality service and expects a reasonable payment for providing that service once a successful outcome has been reached for their clients.
Because if you were, you’d “get it”…

The fact is no one gets it. How are PB still trading? Why do they offer an upfront fee without a guaranteed sale?
Yes it’s all very well offering an on line business model but as most traditional agents will tell you, they are on line too but with a real service and often really care about their clients.
The high street are the only industry that works and gets paid for a result and still have 95% of the market. Worried about PB, in your and PB dreams Billy 393. They are an affront to a very professional service industry, who wish to promote themselves as the same and that is something that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Contrary to your belief that I am not a high street agent, I am. I do not however feel the need to concentrate so much of my time and effort on one of my competitors. If, as most on here comment and believe, PB are to be short lived, unsustainable, poor at their job…. then their business will run its course and fail all by itself. Until then, I simply pour my efforts into things I can control, do the best I can for my customers and don’t keep being distracted by a competitor who still only has a 5% market share! Best of luck in whatever you do!

Meanwhile the city are not impressed with share price dropping under £1 this week, recovered to £1.05 but now dropping back towards the £1 mark. The future isn’t bright, the future isn’t Purple and next weeks PB disclosure is looking to be some interesting reading.
As much as im aware PB and their trust pilot scores cant be trusted this is clearly a different customer hence the number of reviews is 2 on both? If was same then would at least be her third review in the more recent one. Imagine there being more than one person with your name…. that’s mystifying…
Because they were both screenshot today and not at the point the first review was put on perhaps?

It is the same person – the “2 reviews” you refer to are the two being shown.
Click on the hyperlink at the bottom of the article which takes you to the reviewer’s homepage and you will see.
That’s what I was meant PeeBee, that the two reviews are valid and posted at different times, it is just that PIE has screenshot them today rather at the point there was one review so the original poster thought it was a different account when it is in fact the same.
