Comparison service NetAnAgent is putting up some of its prices next month.
For sales, it will be charging 0.15% plus VAT of the completed sale price of a property, with a minimum charge of £150 plus VAT, where it has delivered the lead to the agent.
It currently charges 0.1%.
Agents who choose to pay on instruction will get a 40% discount.
Managing director Alex Thorpe told EYE: “NetAnAgent.com is putting up its prices for some of its services.
“The fee structure has remained the same for the last seven years and provided agents with very affordable advertising.
“We have seen a strengthening in agents’ fees, and with the growth and improvements we have made to our service we feel now is the right time to make the changes.
“NetAnAgent remains very affordable when compared to other advertising methods and similar companies.
“The number of agents using NetAnAgent continues to grow and we look forward to supporting them and increasing the number of instructions they receive.”
NetAnAgent allows prospective vendors and landlords to enter details of their property on its website. They then get a list of agents and can compare, for example, their times to sell and their fees, and can then request a valuation.

Just another parasite, best to say clear.
When 50% – 60% of vendors switch from the first agent they instruct, paying on instruction here would be madness.
Have always declined these type of “invitation to value/quote” emails or calls.
Happy to generate our own quality business and have a direct connection with our clients from Day 1.
Introducer Companies are not for my business.
Nope they are putting the fee up as their rival GetAgent charge 0.25% so they know there is room for skimming extra money from estate agents. Fact, as estate agents we dont need these companies!
Hi Arthurhouse02. At GetAgent, and unlike Netanagent, we only charge for vendors who request that we introduce them to you for a valuation.
For every vendor who sells further to this, there are 3 more who see the stats and contact the agent directly to sell.
Therefore our average referral fee per completed sale is only 0.06%. This is far cheaper than our competition!

Firstly, I’d love to know more about the claim that each referral to an agent is, in fact, 4 referrals. How is that statistic obtained and substantiated?

I have had dozens of leads from these 2 companies and only one instruction – and that turned out to be a complete pain in the bottom. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
