Zoopla has attracted Yorkshire-based estate agency Dacre, Son & Hartley fully back to the portal.
Six of its 20 offices started re-listing last year, but now all branches are on Zoopla.
The agency initially left Zoopla for OnTheMarket when the challenger portal first launched in 2015.
Its return comes after high-profile agents such as Knight Frank, Kinleigh, Folkard & Hayward, Carter Jonas, Strutt & Parker and Humberts have also gone back to Zoopla in recent months.
Dacre, Son & Hartley is also listing with OnTheMarket and on Rightmove.
Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential sales at Dacre, Son & Hartley, said: “We continue to whole heartedly support On The Market on their journey to bring commercially realistic portal exposure to our extensive and broadly priced property stock.
“We were pleased to join OTM at an early stage and continue to value that relationship. We wish to gauge and review the performance and merits of the three leading portals for ourselves, and the only realistic way of doing so, is to list with all three.”

OntheMarket declined to comment on agency contractual relationships.

Probably part of the plan to drop Rightmove like many others, get a taste of Zoopla great introduction deal and leave Rightmove like everyone else, RMEXIT. get on board 31st OCTOBER all leaving. Get in!
Would like to know the commercial justification for this move. Three portals is madness in anyone’s world, is there a limit to the number portals that agents will subscribe to?
No commercial justification, just a deluded “size matters” perspective, to try and play “Top Trump”.
You’ll recognise their Valuers heading out on Appointments – they carry 3 Umbrellas …just in case it rains …then they can boast other Agents only carry 1!
What I can’t abide is the smug “We always loved Zoopla cr@p” & “It gives our clients the best……”.
So, when you weren’t on Zoopla your clients were being poorly served?!!
Nothing personal, just my tired view of the same old cr@p being spun when an Agent “returns”.
On a brighter note …..more properties Successfully Sold! …..and 3 additions being listed today! …all without Zoopla.
Property Pundit – I would think the ‘commercial’ logic goes something like this…….
– Joined OTM in the vague hope that it would takeover from RM and in any event, as Z wasn’t all that compared to RM, they felt OTM had to be better.
– Within a short time found out that OTM was utter billhooks in their area – hardly any leads and what they did get were very poor quality. Somehow, even worse than Z had been. However, couldn’t do much about it as locked in for 5 years.
– With the 5 year end in sight and OTM having relaxed their 1 other portal rule and with Z offering silly deals to win them back, they decided to go back to Z. Probably too with a vague- some would say naive – hope that perhaps one day, you never know, Z could take over from RM.
– Now have the corporate mindset that OTM was a complete waste of time and money and really they’re only on 2 portals.
– And, finally, would like one day to get shot of RM hence the cycle of rinse and repeat with Z.
Sound familiar to anyone?
Sometimes when you analyse past decisions what had looked like a good decision looks bonkers with hindsight.
I’d forgotten they were locked in for 5 years with OTM. Expect them to quit OTM soonish then.
Probably because there are only about 17 people in Yorkshire (that aren’t estate agents) that know what OTM is.
So, why did they leave Zoopla …..if Zoopla was their True Love?
I’m assuming it’s because they wanted to give OTM a chance, which would have required them to drop Zoopla, and after years of not delivering what was promised they’re making the switch again. All seems fairly straight forward to be honest.
