A former president of the NAEA has died.

David Ware was an estate agent in Taunton, Somerset, where he founded Ware & Co in 1986.

He became president of the NAEA in 1991.

A tribute on the company’s website says his son Simon worked in the business with him for over 20 years.

Although retired, “he was a frequent visitor to our office and will be greatly missed by us all”.

The tribute says that he helped many people in the Taunton area find and sell their homes, and was widely respected and loved.

A celebration of his life is being held at Taunton Deane Crematorium tomorrow, July 12, at 2pm.

Another high-profile Somerset estate agent has also died. Peter Lee, a former mayor of Wellington and Taunton Deane, was 76.

As an estate agent, he was well known in Wellington and Wiveliscombe.

His funeral service is also at Taunton Deane Crematorium, next Thursday, July 18, at 2.30pm.
