Property platform The House Shop is joining Zoopla and OnTheMarket in integrating with Facebook Marketplace to list agents’ rental properties.

CEO Sebastien Goldenberg said: “We’re really pleased to announce our new integration with Facebook Marketplace as it will bring huge added value to agents listing with The House Shop.

“Estate agents can now list their entire portfolio with us, free of charge, and gain access to a huge audience across our network of partner property sites, our own dedicated audience of tenants, and people searching on Facebook Marketplace.”

The House Shop, like Facebook Marketplace, allows private landlords to advertise alongside agents.

However, The House Shop confirmed that it will only feed agency lettings listings to Facebook Marketplace.

Nick Marr, co-founder of The House Shop, told EYE that the platform intends to build up its agency listings, with the aim of having 30% of all UK agency listings – about 7,500 branches.

Marr said: “Our integration with Facebook Marketplace is a really big deal for us, increasing our scale and reach.”

Rightmove has notably not done a deal with Facebook.
