Is this the largest screen in any estate agent’s window in the UK?

The recent installation in Lurot Brand’s office in Ladbroke Grove, London, it occupies a huge space and  reflects the fact that the agent’s speciality is selling mews houses.

It measures an enormous 7’4” across to take up the whole window display.

Three times brighter than a TV and glare proof, it has a 3-gig built-in hard drive which allows the agent to download what it wants to play or run it through Wifi, USB, LAN, HDMI or with the iPhone app.

It can for example switch between a carousel property program, and video tours of mews streets, all from a remarkably simple phone app.

It was not installed by an estate agent outfitter, but by Urban Storm which normally specialises in vast digital advertising screens at the likes of Piccadilly Circus and at football stadiums.

The firm is led by Sam Cook, who met Lurot Brand manager James Robinson in a local pub where the pair hatched the idea.

Robinson said: “Over a Guinness at The Cow in Notting Hill, Sam suggested it would be fun to fit one of his huge screens in the window of our Ladbroke Grove office, so we did.

“Being situated on a very busy junction, the screen is really eye catching and has been a resounding success.

“Unlike traditional window cards, the price and the details of the properties are updated automatically, as our software functions in real time, and people get really mesmerised by it.

“There may be larger televisions on the back walls of estate agents offices but not in their actual shop windows as normal televisions are not bright enough to deal with direct sunlight.

“A television this size can be bought for £7,000: however ours cost more than £15,000.
