Rightmove has issued a two-sentence statement as to why it has not joined Zoopla and OnTheMarket in displaying agents’ rental properties on Facebook.
Rightmove said: “This is not something we’re involved in.
“We’ll continue to advertise agents’ properties to the biggest home-hunting audience on Rightmove.”
Meanwhile, the CEO of OnTheMarket has said that the deal with Facebook Marketplace will give the portal “considerable scale and reach”.
Ian Springett also revealed that the arrangement is free, as Facebook does not charge its listing partners.
Yesterday afternoon, we still could not see the property listings – all of rental homes – on the platform, but Facebook has said it will take a few days for these to go fully live.
It is understood that Facebook is rolling these out to Facebook groups bit by bit.

Wonder if Springett has heard the saying ” if you are getting something free on the internet you are the product”. He’s given all our data over and along with z created the second biggest letting portal in the country.
I wonder if you look in the Ts&Cs if once you list the properties on Z & OTM if your data is no longer your data, and now their data.
I am sure that is the case, doesn’t mean they should act like fools with it though
