There are too many consultations – and not enough action.

The accusation has come from the Residential Landlords Association.

It says there are currently 15 ongoing consultations which could affect the private rented sector – but not one will deliver more housing.

The RLA’s director of policy David Smith said: “Whilst it is right to properly consult on proposals, no tenant can live in a consultation.”

The RLA’s list is:

  • Independent Review of Building Regulation and Fire Safety
    • Universal Credit Experimental Statistics: Future Developments
