Co-founder of Purplebricks Kenny Bruce is set to plough £500,000 into a football club.
Larne FC, in Northern Ireland, was founded in 1889 and plays its home matches at Inver Park in Larne, where Bruce grew up.
Bruce’s money would go towards renovations at Inver Park as well as investing in new players.
Bruce – described as a multi-millionaire who has made his fortune from Purplebricks – is said to want to give something back to his home town.
Larne chairman Archie Smith said: “We had some very positive discussions and the bottom line is that Kenny wants to see his local club and town flourish.”
Larne FC’s colours are currently red and white – and not purple.
Bruce, who has been in charge of recruiting and training Local Property Experts in the UK, is now based in Los Angeles. Purplebricks is planning to launch in California this year.

Makes sense. You pay up front whether the team wins or loses. Hang on….
His first big change will be to introduce a new way of paying to watch the club. Rather than pay at the turnstiles you can now defer payment until the end of the season entering a credit agreement with Close Brothers…..but fans won’t be advised it is a credit agreement.

… all of the club staff will carry FIFA required qualifications. OOPS!, sorry – make that SOME of the club staff (my error) MIGHT carry SOME of the qualifications …
…89% of them will not be employees of the Club…
…and a high percentage will not be paid up members of the PFA.
