A complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority about an estate agent has been informally resolved.

The complainant challenged a claim on the website of VitalSpace, an agent based in Urmston, south Manchester.

A spokesperson for the ASA said that the challenge was over the claim “the leading Lymm Estate Agents” on the VitalSpace website.

The complainant challenged whether this was misleading and could be substantiated as they believed VitalSpace did not actually sell any properties in the Lymm area in Cheshire.

The spokesperson said: “We contacted the advertiser who agreed to remove the claim. Following this assurance from the advertiser, we considered the case resolved on an informal basis.”
