Now here is one of those barely there stories.
The Evening Standard carries a silly season story about a naked rooftop bar launching in London.
Recognise anyone in it, by the way?
Or recognise the venue? Well, one of EYE’s eagle-eyed readers certainly did.
It is none other than the roof terrace on top of the prestigious RICS headquarters in central London.
Great views.
Opposite the Houses of Parliament. Next to the Supreme Court. Close to Westminster Abbey and, come to think of it, the London meeting room used by the NAEA and ARLA.
This well located terrace is managed by RICS Venues who often let it for outside broadcasts and as a film venue.
This time, however, it’s exposure of a different kind. And it comes complete with sun loungers and a trampoline (ouch!).
We’re reliably informed that the RICS knew nothing about the goings on until a Supreme Court judge next door drew their attention to it.
Still, the upside is that no more shall we think of the RICS as a stuffy organisation obsessed with net balances!

I am more interested to know what happened to this mid August heatwave they talk of!
