A former estate agent has been sentenced after she was caught driving with a bag of cocaine stuffed in her bra.

The court was told how pressures of her job had made her turn to drugs.

Lisa Page, 24, was pulled over by police and confessed to being in possession of cocaine.

She was charged with possessing a Class A drug and driving a vehicle while over the drug-driving limit.

Page pleaded guilty to both charges at Crawley Magistrates’ Court in Sussex.

Defence solicitor Geoff White explained that Page was going through a tough time and that she was using cocaine to escape her troubles.

He said: “She has pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.

“This lady was for a number of years an estate agent. She worked well and was paid well.

“She found it quite stressful and realised that the stress she was under was causing her depression. Cocaine was something that would alleviate it. It was a quick fix, but she could not deal with her problems.

“When she was stopped by police it was a wake-up call for her. She has made a claim for benefits.

“The positive from this is that she is no longer using drugs and is looking for work.”

Page was fined £120 for being in possession of a class A drug and £120 for driving while under the influence of a controlled drug, and banned from driving for 12 months.

She was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge in addition to the two £120 fines.
