How many agents actively use footers – at the bottom of their emails – as part of their marketing?

We ask after getting an email from Simon Bradbury, of Thomas Morris.

We received this email on a completely different subject: We were simply struck by the bold footer.

It says: “Pile on the Pounds! Let us find you a buyer while record house prices are being achieved”.

EYE – with the words seeming very timely after our usual post-Christmas bulge – asked for more information, and found that similarly themed email footers are used across the different Thomas Morris offices, and all linked to an appropriate item on the website.

Bradbury says the firm changes its footers about every three months.

Each footer is supported by newspaper advertising, leaflets, postcards, window displays, press coverage and other promotions items as appropriate.

Bradbury told EYE: “My view is that, considering their massive reach and target audience, email footers are an extremely cost effective marketing tool – often overlooked by estate agents.”
