The website Company Check has reported a notice relating to Cabec Limited of a move from administration to creditors’ voluntary liquidation.

The document was reported on December 29.

The firm, specialising in marketing materials for agents and which traded as Cream Club, went into administration in May last year.

Jamie Taylor and Lloyd Biscoe of Begbies Traynor, in Southend, who were appointed as administrators, subsequently reported in July that Cabec had built a debt of over £600,000 to HMRC, with “preferential claims of employees for arrears of wages, salary and holiday pay” estimated at £151,495.

In a pre-packaged sale of the business and its assets, Cabec trading as Cream Club was sold to a company called The Cream Club for £50,000, payable in instalments.

The administrators’ report said that Craig Cook, a director of Cabec, was a director of the purchaser.
