It is certainly – with one exception – every estate agent’s worst nightmare.

Furthermore, a nightmare on Downing Street.

That one exception is Russell Quirk, the bad boy of estate agency, seen here standing at the door of Number 10.

Naturally, the self-effacing and publicity-shy Quirk, founder of eMoov, could not resist sharing his selfie on Facebook, where he wrote: “Popped in to see George this morning with my housing policy ideas as he asked for. He was out so I left with a neighbour.”

However, the property industry can heave a sigh of relief: this is not actually 10 Downing Street, but another front door in London with a likeness to Britain’s most famous threshold.

Quirk yesterday brazenly tried to maintain the fiction, telling EYE: “Don’t blame me for the buy-to-let / second home stamp duty hike. I only popped in for a quick coffee

“Anyhow, I was just trying things out for when I’m PM.”

Mind you, we bet even Jeremy Corbyn takes better selfies!
