We know estate agents do not always agree that the house-buying public take broadband speeds into account. However, a new survey, from uSwitch, could be of particular interest to those who intend working from home.

The listing shows 50 streets where broadband speed is so slow that a carrier pigeon might be faster.

The worst places are in Wales and Essex, where the broadband speed is a tortuous 0.6mb per second.

Surprisingly, perhaps, one of London’s most expensive addresses, in Hampstead, comes in at 17th on the list for slowness.

From Kent to Devon, and Tyne and Wear to Aberdeen, here is the full list of places where broadband speed would give snails a good name.
