Spotted in leafy London W5 – a board which seems to have hit the pavement.
And look whose board it is – none other than controversial online agent eMoov.
In the absence of any fingerprints, has anyone got any clues as to how this could possibly have happened or who the perpetrators might be in such an affluent part of the world?
Or maybe its collapse was purely due to natural causes, and perhaps this should remain one of life’s mysteries.

Maybe not if the purchasers now sees what a poor and violent neighborhood it is in and making the national press via PIE – It think they should look for at least a £20,000 reduction. Might mean a fall through oops!

A quick Rummage4 this property earlier led me to a ground floor apartment in a leafy suburb which has been on the market (but not OnTheMarket.com, of course…) since April.
Now here’s the thing… firstly I could swear blind that earlier today it was ‘For Sale’ but now it is miraculously showing as “Under Offer”; secondly IF it was “Under Offer” then why doesn’t the board say that? – most Agents I know slap a “SOLD” on before the toner cools down on the Offer Letter and I can’t imagine The Quirkster being slow off ANY mark in that respect – can anyone else?
Thirdly I wonder if anyone at eMoov would like to answer why the property I refer to shows being listed on one duopoly portal in APRIL, yet the other not until JULY?
Restricting portal marketing to only ONE main portal? For THREE MONTHS??

Hasn’t exactly cleared anything up – but then did we ever expect it to…?

They are getting to me not by their offerings but their lies that they are comparable to a traditional high street agent and they can save them XXXX
I am surprised Trevor does not have quite a piece to say on how their adverts omit lots of information which could be deemed as misleading and unfair against many agents. Usually so much to say on “unfair practices”

Is there a charge to eMoov clients for “replacement or broken boards”? you can just see an eSneak lurching at night breaking boards for extra revenue.

Seen some funny things with boards over the years…..
We have a surveyor who took a picture of a local agents board when he was at the tip one Sunday afternoon… obviously new house hunters had chucked it away. He emailed it and pasted it all over the place with numerous captions about how it was in the best place as it lay in the middle of a huge pile of waste (a few naughty words included) very funny.
Had one last year where an agent had their board posted back through their office letter box, stake first with the flag hanging out, also looked very funny and wish I had a photo of it and can only assume the client had finally got fed up of asking and the statement was delivered perfectly.
Strangely i can see the offending board from my bedroom window, regarded it as a museum piece, didn’t realise my power of thought was so effective

If a board being broken cause Mr Q to be “too upset to speak,” I suggests he seeks some help with emotional management! Wish that was the biggest worry in my business life.
It’s clearly the cost of the new stake that’s causing him the upset, Typhoon. You know 38×38’s an awful price these days… then add some white emulsion… all of a sudden you’re looking at a Fee increase and he can’t possibly do that…
…cos then he’ll have to pay a techie to alter his website and he’ll have to put up his fees AGAIN to cover that – oh my, where will it end?
Some might say he even got the ‘leccy board to turn the power off in his office yesterday to cut down on costs…
