Eye has been named in seventh place as a UK top ten property blog.
Cision, a global media intelligence provider which sends out daily bulletins to journalists, PR and marketing firms, published the list of online property “influencers” yesterday.
First in the list is Hometruths, an online blog by the talented Samantha Ashdown, who will be known to a number of agents for her marketing expertise.
In fifth place comes Landlord Law Blog, run by Tessa Shepperson, known for her knowledge of landlord and tenant law and her first-rate conferences which are sponsored by Eye.

What a great list of blogs, but who is this Sam Ashdown when she’s at home?
I can honestly say I only subscribe to PIE… it strikes a good balance and provides entertainment amidst those passionate in whatever direction.

It was really nice to finally meet Pee Bee(nice bloke actually when you meet him!), Paul H, etc etc for those of you that weren’t there I hope to see you next year…….when Eye is no.1?

I think the speed in which lawsuits have been threatened, articles have been forced to be retracted and press releases issued just to get covered by EYE specifically, says its the only one on that list the whole industry truly looks at. That said to be fair it would be quite trendy to say you subscribe to Urbansplash or maybe even The Property Files if it features the adventures of a property based Mulder and Scully.
What a shame EAT do not feature!
Hardly surprising. The only reason they have any readers is they are so in favor of the back bedroom agents (Online to you and me). I have tried and tried to get off their e-mail list but still they keep coming. For some reason that I don’t understand I don’t seem to be able to block their e-mail into my SPAM folder.
Keep up the good work all at The Eye.
One has to wonder what is being measured to stick Property Industry Eye so far down the list. Clearly Cision are doing the usual thing of not understanding what is important in our industry. There is very good reason why I have been a 0630 love struck schoolboy (credit Jonnie) to Eye and until Christmas 2013 EAT and LAT; this is the single most influential media in the industry, the only forum which reaches right across the industry and its service suppliers and the only place where there is proper editorial balance.
Bear In mind I was responsible for sales and marketing at CFP and was ruthlessly efficient (80%) at what I did so when I say there is only on No1 I genuinely believe it and know it to be true.
The others might reach a different audience and influence different things but in terms of influencing those that are and those that do in the property industry it is a one horse race.
